"The SpringCircuits™ Piece"

The key to super-fast visually driven circuit building explained

SpringCircuits™ uses patent pending technology, and here's how it all fits together...

How a SpringCircuits Piece is "pieced together"

SpringCircuits™ pieces are box-shaped 1"x1" plastic pieces with bent-springs strategically placed around the sides. Each side with a bent-spring connector represents the end of a circuit element. The circuit element resides inside the plastic housing and connects to the bent-spring connector from inside. On top of the SpringCircuits™ piece is a laminated graphic depicting the traditional schematic drawing of the element inside the housing.

SpringCircuits™ pieces are fitted onto a loop-fabric board through hook stickers on the bottom of the SpringCircuits™ pieces. The hook stickers make the SpringCircuits™ pieces to adhere to a loop-fabric surface (hook-and-loop). The Loop-fabric Board is a strong durable board with loop-fabric attached to one side, strong edge-trim and corner caps - to provide lasting protection against abuse and wear. Great for the classroom.

The laminated graphic on top of a SpringCircuits™ piece allows for dry-erase writing right on the pieces. A perfect fit for dynamically recording values like voltage and current, or even just plain labeling the parts of a circuit.

Making Connections

To connect SpringCircuits™ pieces together, place one piece on the loop-fabric board. Get the next piece to be placed. Connect the bent-spring connector of the second piece to the one on the loop-fabric board. Then place the second piece down on the loop-fabric board.

The images to the left show a transistor piece on the loop-fabric board and a resistor piece connecting to it. Notice that the bent-springs are connecting before placing the second piece on the board.

The top picture to the left shows a close-up just before connecting the bent-spring connectors together. Stepping back, in the last picture to the left, we see how it looks when the pieces are connected from a top perspective.
